We took on this project in 2010.
Starting with the construction of a radius
6 x 6 Beam, We were able to have
several 2 x 6 x 16’s sawed into
1/4” x 6 x 16’ sheets which were then arranged clamped and glued in a form setup on Jim’s deck.
We then purchased some aluminum channel in order to fabricate the center mount,
end mount and brackets for the pergola mounts.
The entire structure mounted to the home with ½” galvanized lags. Prefinished with Australian timber oil, Pressure treated pine
construction for the framework with Trex artesian post sleeves and skirts for
the posts, incorporating a hand stained glass wind block with vinyl and PVC
lumber supports.
This made a one of a kind accent to this outdoor living space with high
attention to detail.
