We encountered several issues when dissembling the original pressure treated pine structure. The original structure had not been properly flashed and the sill plate had rotted with excessive rotting of the floor under the sliding door. after repairing the sub structure of the home.
We found we had squared the deck to the newly constructed addition which was out of square to the house about 1/2" over 8 feet. which threw off all the joists by
1 1/2" total. so all the joists having to be reset. we finally were able to continue with the project.
